The coolest things I found at the 2012 Grand National Roadster Show, #3 - homemade speedometer, Roman numerals, w/ boost, and temp gauge inset

This blow your mind? Does mine. No one at the vehicle to ask for it's maker name, phone number, and cost... cause I know I'm not the only one curious and impressed

Update Feb 9th:
I spent about 1k on it, did a LOT of research, running around etc. I had been sitting on sketches and tons of photos of watches and clocks for like 3 or 4 years until I finally just HAD to make it. I have photos of the clay models I did too. The inspiration for this gauge was a large rusty wall clock I saw at Target.
     Ed Fox

the above is a shot of Airmighty Magazine, where Ed got the the cover and feature. Ed is a photographer of  portraits, porn, foot fetish, and movie posters. Lots of great work on his site: http://www.edfox.com/ not as much cars

as great photography, and portraits, but hell, with porn stars to photograph, I doubt any of us would be as interested in photographing cars either!

from the company known for making taxis in France in the 1910-1930's... this terrific race car came, the 1924 Chenard and Walker roadster

I love to find cool new gauges, and these are unlike any I've seen before

A barometer, or an altimeter? To adjust the carbs for rich or lean?
The speedo, tach, and gas gauges are incredible...
Litres d' Essence wow, what a great language!

This is the kind of infographic there aren't enough of: just simple, informative, cool, and automotive

if you are interested in looking at the how cool the old speedometers were, you're on the right website, and can find hundreds by looking though the ones I've posted http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/search/label/speedometer

The Dynaliner returned to SEMA, it is a thorough tribute to hot rodding... great details to admire all over

check the spreader bar, it's a Ford wishbone! Now... that, that is very cool! The grill has 32 teeth

Bitching hood prop!
SCOT supercharger? I didn't get a close look, but I think so

I dig the speedometer 6 in one guage set, the cool steering wheel, the ashtray, the timing stopwatch, and the "Speed King" drum set gas pedal (posted that a couple years ago http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/search?q=dynaliner)

cool trunk stuff...

Runamucka of Jerry Logan, built by Lonnie Gilbertson... one hell of a Flying Tigers motif

Cool old steering wheel stripped of some extra weight that isn't needed

 cool center console

I looked at the jerry cans, and they are all welded together, making a large fuel tank from many small ones.
