The $1 Million Supercar

The $1 Million Supercar
The $1 Million Supercar
Lotus is synonymous with racing at the highest level of motorsport, the company made its name by winning the race with Jim Clark, Mario Andretti and Ayrton Senna. This association helps companies to be very successful on the road car market right now.

Went wrong after the death of founder Colin Chapman in 1982 and the company's reputation for high performance, innovation inspired participation Motorsports easily evaporate.

However, the company is now returning to its roots, under new leadership, a former Ferrari man Dany Bahar. You can see a return to high levels of motorsport (Formula One, IndyCar and Le Mans) and delivers high performance racing technology on the road like never before with the new T125.
Closer than ever in Formula 1

Appointed to harmonize them with the Lotus was the first F1 championship chassis (Lotus 25), Lotus T125 is so close to winning today's F1 Racer, and practicality and economy as possible. Powered by 640 hp 3.5-liter Cosworth V8 weighs just 650 kg, despite the F1-inspired aerodynamics, the T125 is the highest possible performance to track day car in the average gasoline heads ever get my hands on.
Only 25 T125, and that every customer gets one day individual training with the Formula 1 race winner Jean Alesi, the Lotus Indy 500 race for next year call. Moreover, every owner of a T125 choose a color scheme or a rental car, historic JPS Lotus, Camel and British Racing Green uniforms are available for all users.

But all these achievements and exclusivity is not free, T125 will cost nearly one million U.S. dollars. Moreover, anyone who is thinking of driving a car along the strict health and fitness tests to prove they can deal with extraordinary powers that the inhabitants of the body, with 5 grams (five times the force of gravity) to create advanced aerodynamics certain angles.

A small part of the F1 machines come with its own engine, assuming you have your own pit crew to start every time on the field. Lotus Marketing and PR Director Kevin Smith said: "It's as close as you can the F1 experience."
The future is just beginning

T125 is only the beginning for the future Lotus Bahar, who managed the company way back Motorsports. Bahar is the perception that the ratio of Motorsport is what Lotus is so successful that in prime time, and I hope it's not too late to catch the past glory.

The focus on technology development for Motorsports expected to have a ripple effect on the way the company's fleet, the new Lotus Esprit, Elan and Elise all efforts to reach the market over the next five years.

Perhaps one of the main drawbacks of T125 is that millions of dollars will probably suffice for a place in the main motto of the categories, such as F3, for a season, or even one day of winter testing to Buy Formula a solid back-markers HRT.

One must remember that millions of dollars just the initial purchase costs, including fuel and insurance prices, not the cost of replacement tires to mention F1 tires regularly firing rounds of 20-some circles. It is also likely that the traditional division of society, the cover will be interested to know that a comprehensive package, the prices of spare parts is probably astronomical.

The List: 5 Affordable, Entertaining Cars with Class-Leading Manufacturing Quality

2011 MAZDA MX-5 PRHT frnt_04.jpg

As the success of cars like the Chevy Cruze and Hyundai Accent suggests, more and more manufacturers have been doing great work coming up with models that pique the interest of car buyers -- that's the good news. The not-so-good news is that manufacturing quality for vehicle launches (including all-new and redesigned models) declined steeply in 2011, after showing steady improvement between 2007 and 2010. So says J.D. Power & Associates, based on information gathered in its 2011 U.S. Initial Quality Study.

The results of the study indicate that two issues are at the forefront.

The first concerns engine and transmission software. These days, it's being designed to facilitate the most frugal performance, and many consumers are reporting that this often has an unwelcome side effect: sluggishness when accelerating or changing gears.

The second issue concerns multimedia technology, including hands-free and voice-activation systems. This technology is popular with consumers, but many report that these systems can be challenging to operate, and that they don't always function properly.

"Clearly, consumers are interested in having new technology in their vehicles, but automakers must ensure that the technology is ready for prime time," says David Sargent, vice president of global vehicle research at J.D. Power and Associates. "Successful companies will be those that can take this incredibly complex technology and make it reliable, seamless and easy for owners to operate while they are driving. There is an understandable desire to bring these technologies to market quickly, but automakers must be careful to walk before they run."

We couldn't have said it better ourselves. Anyway, if you're looking for a fun-to-drive and affordable car with excellent manufacturing quality, these four deserve your attention. They're all among the top three models in their respective segments in J.D. Power's most recent survey.

1. Mazda MX-5 Miata
An enduring favorite for lots of good reasons, the energetic Miata features the kind of handling that was made for twisty roads. It offers this goodness at a price that seems incredibly low given all the sheer driving enjoyment that comes your way in return. Superior manufacturing quality is just one more reason to feel the love.

2. Volkswagen GTI
Volkswagen's GTI is the hot hatch you'd want to live with. It's frisky enough to bring the thrills on winding back roads, while being well-mannered enough to handle daily commutes with politeness and decorum. There's also the matter of its cabin, which is one of the best-looking in the segment.

3. Honda Civic
Look no further than the Honda Civic (in the Si trim, please) if you want a car that gives you the best of all worlds. The Civic Si gets its juice from a high-revving engine, and offers a communicative driving experience courtesy of its sport-tuned suspension. More practical concerns are not left unaddressed, given the car's superb reliability.

4. Dodge Challenger
Dodge's Challenger gets a number of upgrades for 2011, including more powerful V6 and V8 engines, and suspension and steering tweaks that result in a more rewarding driving experience. This muscle car is surprisingly versatile – comfortable ride quality, a spacious cabin and a roomy truck make it one of the most practical choices in its segment.

2011.chevrolet.camaro.20357710-E.jpg
5. Chevrolet Camaro
The Camaro is a sexy as it gets, with V8 and V6 engines that deliver acceleration quick enough to leave you looking like you've stumbled into a wind tunnel. It also offers excellent value, delivering engaging handling and power for very little coin. However, it comes with some trade-offs, namely poor visibility and a cramped backseat.

How much stock do you place in surveys on initial quality?Would quality concerns prevent you from buying a newly launched vehicle in its first year of production?

IndyCar Adds Another Oval Race with Cal Speedway

dixon_helio_calspeedway1.jpg

California Speedway is welcoming back IndyCar after a six-year hiatus. The two-mile oval in scenic Fontana, California (which plays a cameo role every week here on Inside Line) recently lost one of its two NASCAR races, so the announcement of another race is certainly good news for the track officially known as the Auto Club Speedway.

"We feel the time is right to bring IndyCar back to Auto Club Speedway," said IndyCar CEO Randy Bernard. "We want to maintain the diverse line-up of ovals on our schedule and the addition of Auto Club Speedway adds a great venue that was built for the high-speed, wheel-to-wheel excitement of IndyCar racing under the lights."

That's right, it'll be a night race. It'll also be the third IndyCar race in California, joining the Streets of Long Beach and Infineon (Sears Point) Raceway in Sonoma.

Finding A Cheap Used Supercar

Finding A Cheap Used Supercar
Sounds
a bit like an oxymoron is not super cheap. Fortunately, if you are economical to operate, there are several ways you can get your hands on a nice, cheap, high-end cars. And no, it will not destroy the old school, it was (well, maybe if you're not careful). It just takes alittle research and an eye.
Fun places to be used to find supercars

Let the obvious way, there's always Craigslist. Now I really enjoyed - it is home to many spammers and scammers, but there are bargains to get there. Especially stay away from deals to cars and people who want to give you a foreign bank checks and asks you to change your delivery ship. You can also Motors.co.uk and cheap used cars for sale. If you are in Britain, you'll probably like the total number of fine BMW, Porsche and the like for a damn good prices. EBay is another place the list of supercars, which is largely a list of all vehicles they consider a "super", along with links to their search ads.

These are just a few places, of course, still need to do your own due diligence to the original car that you can expect to be in. I always have a clear title before a money to make sure that it does not get stolen and then have no problems registering later.

With a little luck, a keen eye and a large list of resources you're sure to find a supercar in the garage - and you do not spend $ 100k to do it. Good luck!
